Two ways to measure

From a ring you already wear

Choose a ring worn on the same finger of the same hand. Lay it on a ruler and measure the inside from edge to edge, in millimetres, at the widest point. That is the inner diameter; read your size from the chart below.

Around your finger

Cut a strip of paper about five millimetres wide. Wrap it around the base of the finger, snug but not tight, and mark where it overlaps. Measure the strip to the mark in millimetres. That number is your size. If it falls between two sizes, choose the larger.

Fingers change through the day and with temperature. Measure in the evening at room temperature, and make sure the ring can pass over the knuckle. A wide band sits tighter than a slim one, so for bands of five millimetres or more consider half a size up.

If the size is not right

The first resizing of a ring bought from DÓRNOR is free. How far a ring can be sized depends on its construction; full eternity and pavé bands have limits, and the resizing page explains them. Made-to-order pieces cannot be returned, so if you are unsure, a fitting in the showroom at Danmarksgade 55A in Frederikshavn settles it in a few minutes.
