Terms & Conditions – Dórnor Fine Jewelry

1. General Information

These Terms & Conditions apply to all contracts between you and Dórnor ApS regarding products ordered through our online store www.dornor.com and purchases made in our physical store.

2. Important Information

By placing an order or purchasing in-store, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We may update them periodically to reflect changes in law, technology, business operations, or system capacity. Please ensure you review the latest version before making a purchase.

You have the right to withdraw from a ready-made purchase without giving any reason within 30 days after you or a third party (other than the carrier) receives the goods. The Danish Sale of Goods Act applies, granting you statutory rights regarding conformity of goods.

3. Ordering

The online store is open 24/7 but may be closed for maintenance, usually carried out during nighttime (CET). Orders placed on weekends or Danish public holidays are processed the following business day.

  1. Select your product(s) and add to cart.
  2. View and edit your cart as needed.
  3. Enter personal, shipping, and payment details.
  4. Accept these Terms & Conditions and confirm your order.

After placing your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. This is not acceptance of the order; a binding contract is formed when we confirm shipment or provide tracking details. Payment is collected when the order is dispatched.

4. Delivery & Shipping

  • Denmark: Complimentary insured delivery on all orders.
  • EU core markets (e.g., Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium): Complimentary delivery on orders above €300; flat-rate €15–€20 below that threshold.
  • Other destinations: Rates displayed at checkout.

Ready-made items dispatch within 1–3 business days. Custom-made items have an estimated production time of 3–6 weeks, plus delivery. All parcels are securely packed, shipped with tracking, and require signature upon delivery.

5. Prices & Currency

All prices include Danish VAT (25%). Non-EU customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties and taxes.

We accept payments in DKK, EUR, and SEK.

6. Returns & Right of Withdrawal

You may return ready-made items within 30 days of receiving them, provided they are unworn, unused, with all tags, certificates, and original packaging. Returns must be approved in advance by contacting mail@dornor.com. The customer bears the return cost unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

7. Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-made, made-to-order, resized, engraved, or otherwise personalised jewellery.
  • Sale items.
  • Gift cards.

8. Damages & Faulty Items

Inspect your order upon receipt and contact us within 7 days if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Approved claims will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion, with Dórnor covering return costs.

9. Warranties

Lifetime Diamond Guarantee: All Dórnor lab-grown diamonds are guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects in the diamond material. The guarantee covers the diamond’s integrity — it will not chip, crack, or lose brilliance under normal wear. Full terms here.

2-Year Limited Warranty: Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Excludes damage from misuse, accidents, lack of care, or normal wear and tear.

10. Return Procedure

  1. Contact customer service for approval.
  2. Package the item securely with all original materials.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving the return. Refunds for discounted purchases will reflect the amount paid after discounts.

13. Non-Conforming Products

If your product does not conform to the contract, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as per Danish consumer law. Contact us promptly with your order number, description, and photos.

14. Complaints & Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Danish law. You may file complaints via the Danish Dispute Resolution Institute or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
