A Danish fine-jewellery brand. Designed in-house, made in 14K solid gold.
Our story
Christian and Rikke Hamilton Heidemann began developing DÓRNOR in 2016 and opened the first store in Frederikshavn in November 2017. The first documented purchase of Lab Grown diamonds followed in April 2018, and in 2019 mined diamonds left the collection entirely.
The years since have been spent close to production: a jewellery workshop in Thailand that DÓRNOR co-owned, direct relationships with diamond cutters, and since 2023 a specialist production partner in Istanbul. The Frederikshavn store, at Danmarksgade 55A since 2024, remains the heart of the brand.

To design fine jewellery with clear product truth, considered proportions and meaningful possibilities for personalisation, and to guide customers with the knowledge to make confident choices.
In practice we design and develop our own collections, state materials and specifications plainly, and explain what we know about how a piece is constructed and set. The choice stays yours.
Materials
Every new DÓRNOR piece is made in 14K solid gold, which is 58.5% pure gold, with yellow and white gold as the standard offer. Where a design holds diamonds, they are Lab Grown diamonds, normally of D–E colour and VS–VVS clarity.
Lab Grown diamonds are diamonds. They have essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical and physical properties as mined diamonds; their origin and growth process differ.

Materials, specifications, pictures and prices are stated accurately. Questions are answered by people who know how jewellery is made. And a design can be adjusted: the shape and size of the centre stone, the dimensions of a ring, an engraving.

Questions we are often asked
Are Lab Grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab Grown diamonds are diamonds, with essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical and physical properties as mined diamonds. Their origin and growth process differ.
Can a design be adjusted?
Often, yes. Centre-stone shape and size, ring dimensions, engraving and unusual ring sizes are among the adjustments we make, and bespoke designs are possible. What can be changed depends on the individual design, so ask us about the piece you have in mind.
What if my ring size is not in stock?
Any ring size we do not hold in stock is made to order, which takes about 3–6 weeks.
Can I return a piece?
Eligible standard, ready-made jewellery can be returned within 30 days. The conditions are set out in our returns policy.
